Silly me for assuming...

 

A few days ago my daughter returned from Preschool and RAN upstairs to hand me a present.

A few weeks ago our family was getting ready to roast marshmallows. I was dressing my son (now age 2.5) and I leaned down to put his legs into the pants. He was very excited and he JUMPED up high, into the air. Well, my face was right above him and he slammed into my right eye. I fell over, gasping for air and began to cry.

Raising a Generous Child

The ability to give unselfishly to others is not a quality people are born with. Experiences we have and the values we are taught form the basis for the choices we tend to make in our lives regarding generosity. Similar to other behavioral and physical growth stages, researchers have found that children’s moral behaviors also evolve in developmental phases.

Helping a toddler with death

 

A few months ago I purchased baby chicks for our family. We kept them in our bathroom and then moved them to a bedroom. From there, they went to our shed until they were large enough to move outside (with full feathers).

My son is mad at me and I'm okay with that.

 

The month of May is National Foster Care Month. I'll admit - we don't foster any children at this time. I would like to and last year, we called the local chapter and left a message. They never called us back.
