Life is a day-by-day process, an on-going journey. Each day is totally important on its own and also as a link in the grand scheme of events. Each one contributes to the success of the next and all lay the groundwork for much that will follow.
Tip 7
Teach your child with love to learn about the future in fun and interesting ways.
Encourage your child to talk about being an adult. Going by your child’s age, stage and interests, include what he or she would like to do or accomplish. Choose a favorite career. Then together have fun exploring it. Include places your child would like to go and experiences he or she would like to have. Add as many details as you would like. The more you two uncover on your child’s level, the more fun your conversations will be.
This kind of shared exploration is an effective way to lead your child in new and exciting directions. While your child can, should, and probably will change his or her mind many times, having a solid picture of the future is an excellent way to start the process of developing meaningful goals and worthwhile aspirations.
