Here's a quick tip for a fun game we recently played while on a long drive.
We were driving home from the Phoenix Valley and my kids asked to play "I spy." I replied, "What are we spying here? Cactus? Cactus? Cactus? Dirt? Dirt? Random tree?" LOL.
My daughter (age 5) said, "No mom. Let's just play PRETEND I spy."
Oh, okay!
And that is just what we did. We said things like, "I spy with my imaginary eye something bright and colorful that has wings and a horn coming from the head." It's a unicorn!
"I spy with my imaginary eye something that's long and yellow, has lots of windows and children sitting inside." A school bus!
We played this game for at least 30 minutes. I found that it pushed all of us to be creative and we had lots of fun, too!
